The Reflection

At The Reflection, we worked alongside architects’ Fraher & Findlay and interior designers’ Base Interiors to create this stunning family home. Complete with cinema & games room, a pool, gym and garden home office, there were plenty of opportunities to create some signature pieces for the clients to enjoy for years to come.

The kitchen is at the centre of the house and is flooded with natural light from the large roof-lights and full width glazing to the rear of the new extension. The material palette honors this, enhancing the feeling of light and space. White Cape Elm & 10% matt Colorado spray work compliments the Limestone worktops beautifully.

A movable island/breakfast bar provides additional flexibility and functionality to this family hub.

The garden studio is similarly flooded with natural light and the floating storage cabinet provided an opportunity to inject some colour into the space.

The guest bedroom wardrobes and entrance cloak cabinet both feature inset wallpaper within a solid Ash frame, both very different, but equally stunning. The cloak cabinet uses Phillip Jeffries Max’s Metallic Raffia with a solid Ash recessed handle detail, and the guest, Thibaut Sachon Basket Grey with Taipei t-bar handles from Dowsing & Reynolds.

The bathrooms at The Reflection definitely exude luxury through the materials and detailing. The Quilted Maple veneer in the Family Bathroom offers a pearlescent effect and glimmers in the daylight. Whilst in the Master Bathroom, Sterling Silver Figured Eucalyptus veneer compliments the stone vanity and shelf beautifully.

The music room is a place for simple pleasures and learning. This is reflected in the refined joinery style, serving as a means to display and store books and ornaments. Farrow & Ball Slipper Satin offers a neutral backdrop for the various novels and music books.

In the Master Bedroom, Xylocleaf is set against a Perlata frame finish, with Chemin De Fer cabinet pull handles. Jewelry dividers are in Solid Oak and lined with Chase Erwin Ultrasuede.

The cinema room has to be one of our favourite spaces in the house, perfect for a family movie night. The upholstered walls panels not only provide an element of luxury and glamour but also assist with the acoustics of the room. Stretched fabric is used to conceal front & central speakers as well as a down-firing subwoofer.
