The Garden House
For The Garden House, we worked alongside the client and Freeman Ankerman Partnership to establish the brief, which spans from the kitchen and adjacent music room, up to the study and concealed mirrored cabinets. We designed the joinery in a classic style with a contemporary twist, to suit the re-built Victorian family home.

In the kitchen, the hue of Farrow and Ball’s Dix Blue adds excitement to the shaker style doors and V-groove panelling. We created plenty of storage (always needed in a busy family home), and also added a touch for the grown-ups by way of the slimline wine rack to the left of the full height cabinets. The finishing touches were the classic Carrara Quartz worktop, perfectly offset by the unexpectedly modern Furnipart Station handles in a Brushed Brass.
In the music room, we carried the styling of the kitchen through to the cabinetry bookending the antique writing desk, offering plenty of storage for larger items. The client chose to envelop the whole space in the same paint as the joinery, creating a calm and relaxing space for music practise.
Upstairs, in the beautiful study which leads out to the balcony, offering vistas across London rooftops, we continued the same styling, with shaker style doors and Oak accents by way of the worktop and floating shelf. In contrast to the kitchen, we used a green-grey spray (also Farrow and Ball, this time Mizzle), and lit the writing desk with recessed LED lighting as a finishing touch.
