Quality Chop Shop
Shape completed the design, fabrication and full installation of all joinery throughout the Quality Chop Shop Delicatessen, including retail counter, product display shelving, food storage trays and feature lighting. The black stained plywood, along with the use of lighting cable, represents the packing and wrapping of the food produced and results in an industrial aesthetic.
Freestanding units allow the shop to retain a spacious feel, and feature lighting and window details highlight the industrial aesthetic, contrasted against the large street-facing window.
We CNC’d stained birch ply to create the dynamic and industrial display units.
The interior reflects and promotes the quality ingredients used in its neighboring restaurant, and the black stain offers a great backdrop for the produce to pop.
The use of utilitarian materials and raw finishes references the packing materials used to transport food to the shops and eateries that surround the area.
